Spending the day doing' what we love.
Debbie and I are using our leisure(quarantined) time doing what we love. Making cookies! Here Debbie is hard at work providing these United States, parts of Canada, and the American Samoa islands their allotment of Christmas cookies. If you use the exact same ingredients, substituting hops for butter, and add more water, I am making Christmas cookies too. The kind you can drink. Happy Holidays.

A Celebration!
Today is National Cookie Day! For most it's a day of reflection on the 300 - 350 cookies consumed, per person, in 90% of American households. But in our household it's different- Debbie is the producer, seemingly, of the millions and millions of cookies enjoyed by her vast circle of friends and relatives. Today our love of cookies is celebrated with the same passion the English celebrate the Feastday of St. George. When you think of cookies today, think of the person who makes it all possible.

Debbie, my cherished wife, has crossed the Rubicon into the land of retirement. It is with a sense of anticipation, trepidation, wonder and glee that we explore, together, the unchartered landscape of endless possibilities. We promised each other "to stay young at heart" and live a life of gratitude. Somehow for me, that meant inventing Mac and cheese stuffed turkey. It turned out okay, I probably wouldn't do it again, but I'm glad I tried it. I guess that's like life.
